There are alot of scriptures revolving around parenting. We can only be a good parent when we are filled with the Holy Spirit having guidance from Yahweh (God). Is it going to be tough? yes it is. As a parent we love our children so much that it is hard to imagine loving anything else more. The bible tells that we are supposed to love God so much that in a comparison it looks as if we hate our family.
Luke 14:26
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life,also,he cannot be my disciple.
If we love God that much then we'll show our fruits of the Spirit towards our kids making us better parents
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Here is what the bible says we are to teach our children as they grow, how we are supposed to be as parents.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
6And these words, H1697 which I command H6680 thee this day, H3117 shall be in thine heart: H3824
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently H8150 unto thy children, H1121 and shalt talk H1696 of them when thou sittest H3427 in thine house, H1004 and when thou walkest H3212 by the way, H1870 and when thou liest down, H7901 and when thou risest up. H6965
We are teach our children of the Lord and His ways from when they wake up til when they go to bed, we are to teach them of Him even whilst playing in the yard or around the house. It makes sense right? Kids are like a sponge they will absorb anything and everything, they should be absorbing God, thats how they will grow in the Lord and stick with the Lord.
Deuteronomy 4:9-10

We as parents need to stay strong in the faith because not only is it our walk but it's our children's walk as well, they look up to us in everything. If they see daddy and mommy sitting down for a bible study, praise God, worshiping Jesus, praying and always talking about the Lord than our kids will want and do that too.
Deuteronomy 11:18-19

Deuteronomy 32:46

Proverbs 1:8
My son, H1121 hear H8085 the instruction H4148 of thy father, H1 and forsake H5203 not the law H8451 of thy mother: H517
As parents we are to be godly, only when are we godly does this apply (I snuck this in there for parents who are dealing with toxic parents(grandparents) you dont “honour” them if they are ungodly. We listen not to man, only God.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up H2596 a child H5288 in the way H1870 he should go: H6310 and when he is old, H2204 he will not depart H5493 from it.
Look at that, isnt that amazing, God says you train them up in His ways they will never leave being a christian. You teach them as a child and they will never leave Him.
Genesis 18:19
For I know H3045 him, that H834 he will command H6680 his children H1121 and his household H1004 after him, H310 and they shall keep H8104 the way H1870 of the LORD, H3068 to do H6213 justice H6666 and judgment; H4941 that the LORD H3068 may bring H935 upon Abraham H85 that which he hath spoken H1696 of him.
I know it might not seem relevant to the study but it does when you read the other verses.
Ephesians 6:2-4

This one is dont provoke to anger, dont nag at them until they get upset when you could have just said it the one time or even two times, watch your tone in how your say something, think about “am i being reasonable about this?” Remember fruits of the Spirit.
